Terms of Use and Consent for CO2-monitor

By using the CO2-monitor service and consenting below, you understand and agree that your name, email address, country and status as a Credit Suisse employee, as well as any other information collected about you  by CO2-monitor AG as part of providing the CO2 monitoring service , including, without limitation information you enter about your energy consumption factors, such as your housing type, heating type, automobile type, heating and power bills, automobile usge, etc.  (hereinafter “Personal Data”), will be submitted to CO2-monitor AG, a third-party vendor in Switzerland, with which Credit Suisse has contracted to enable its employees to avail themselves of CO2-monitor AG's CO2 monitoring platform. You further understand and agree that your participation in the CO2 monitoring platform is entirely voluntary.

The Personal Data of employees who participate in the CO2-monitor service will be visible to CO2-monitor AG's personnel in Switzerland. Credit Suisse will not have access to your individual data entered into and stored within CO2-monitor, except as specified in the CO2-monitor AG's Terms and Conditions: (1) Credit Suisse will receive from CO2-monitor AG a list of individual Credit Suisse employees participating in the CO2-monitor service for the purposes of internal communication on the CO2-monitor program and other related sustainability programs and activities; and (2) CO2-monitor AG compiles lists of persons (only names and e-mail addresses with no additional data) on the basis of various competition criteria in order to run the competitions and passes these on to its partner organisations. Examples of these criteria include: the first 50 applications, all persons whose emissions fall below 7000 kg CO2, and all persons with savings of above 1500 kg CO2 compared with the previous year. Credit Suisse may choose to receive such lists from CO2-monitor AG. Furthermore, for the purpose of program measurement and reporting, Credit Suisse will also receive reports from CO2-monitor AG with aggregated data about participating employees, e.g. total number of participants, total kg CO2 saved, average emissions of all participants, etc.). Your Personal Data will be stored on servers of CO2-monitor AG in Switzerland.  Accordingly, you agree that your Personal Data, in electronic and/or physical form, may be stored, transferred, accessed and processed across national borders and entities as needed. For the avoidance of doubt, CO2-monitor AG is bound by contractual confidentiality obligations.

If you no longer wish to participate in the CO2-monitor service, or your Personal Data to be retained, please contact CO2-monitor (www.co2-monitor.ch/en/meta/contact) to arrange for your Personal Data to be removed from this system. In certain jurisdictions, applicable legislation may entitle you to a copy of certain Personal Data held by CO2-monitor AG, whether in manual records or on computer, upon submission of a written request.

If you do not agree to transfer, sharing, storage and processing of your Personal Data as described herein, it will not be possible for you to participate in the CO2-monitor service.  I hereby consent to the collection, retention, use, processing and disclosure of my Personal Data as described above.  

I understand that, if I do not consent, I will not be able to participate in the CO2-monitor service.
